At Recycle Bags, the story begins with the raw materials. We use materials such as recycled PET bottles (RPET) and recycled cotton to create new bags.
For our cotton bags, we use pre-consumer textile waste from the clothing industry, among other sources. These textile offcuts are sorted by colour, processed into fibres and turned into new yarns and fabrics. By making use of the original colours, the need to dye these materials again can be avoided.
Used PET bottles are also given a new purpose. They are processed into RPET fibres, which we use to produce various fabrics and components for our bags.
This way, we transform existing materials into practical products designed for frequent and long-term use.

At Recycle Bags, we believe that conscious material choices should go hand in hand with transparency. We don't just want to say that our bags are made from recycled materials. We also want to make the information behind these claims accessible and verifiable.
With Trace Me!, a QR code provides access to product information, including the materials used, their origins, production details and the calculated product carbon footprint. This makes relevant information accessible and provides insight into the evidence supporting our product claims.
