Sustainability
The honest journey
As a family business, we want to pass on our world to the next generation in good condition. That's why, in everything we do, we ask ourselves: how can we do this as responsibly as possible? Some call it sustainable. We simply call it fair.
At SL BAGS We choose materials, partners, and processes that benefit people, the environment, and society. This dedication and effort earned us a Platinum Ecovadis rating in 2025. We're proud of that. But what's even more important to us is that you always receive a bag that's made fairly. Whichever bag you choose, you're making a sincere, responsible choice. And that simply feels better.

100% traceability with the Digital Product Passport
We believe in transparency. That's why we're one of the first to use a Digital Product Passport (DPP). This allows you to track the entire journey of your bag: from the raw material and the factory where it's made, to the CO₂ emissions released during production. This way, we not only demonstrate that our bags are sustainable, but you can also verify it yourself.
Small CO₂ footprint
We're investing heavily in reducing our CO₂ emissions. In collaboration with IPPAG, we've made our carbon footprint fully transparent and added it to the DPP. This way, you can see exactly how much CO₂ was released during the production of your bag and how consciously we're keeping those emissions low.
Together with Aware
Our DPP was developed in collaboration with Aware. It's not a certification mark, but a smart technology that links physical raw materials to verifiable data. All information is accessible through a user-friendly platform and stored in the blockchain, so there's no way to sugarcoat the story. This way, you can confidently choose a bag that's truly responsibly made.

Our commitment recognized worldwide
We are actively committed to transparency and accountability in all aspects of our business operations, from the materials we use to our environmental impact—we take every step consciously. For example, all recycled materials we use are certified according to the Global Recycling Standard (GRS), and our factories are fully Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) certified, strictly adhering to our Supplier Code of Conduct. In 2025, we proudly achieved a Platinum EcoVadis rating, placing us among the top 1% of companies in our sector globally for sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Our performance is assessed against 21 criteria across four categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
